Gigi
Galen, President, founded Star Healthcare Network in September
2002. Ms. Galen has been in the medical insurance and cost containment
industry for over 20 years, during which she has experienced a
progressive career, with a varied tenure at local, national and
international PPOs. She has experience in developing PPOs from
the “ground up” – she helped develop a local
PPO in Miami, Florida (where she began her career), recruiting
hospitals, physicians, and ancillary providers. Among her many
accomplishments, she developed and coordinated a full-service PPO
for BellSouth.
Ms. Galen has also worked for Best Doctors, and was formerly a Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the nation’s largest PPO. She has developed in her career a keen sense of which provider networks/direct relationships geographically meet the needs of the clients of Star Healthcare Network. She is known in the domestic and international healthcare community as a clear and established leader. “Gigi” has worked diligently with her clients over the years, proving that quality and service go hand in hand.
Michele Peterson, Claims Manager, utilizes her nearly five years of international claims experience to process all international (as well as domestic) claims at Star Healthcare Network.
Star Healthcare works with several PPOs around the United States and one International PPO for worldwide coverage along with direct provider relationships. These PPOs range from national to local entities and have been chosen for their vast amount of providers and discounted arrangements. Individual Provider relationships are chosen due to geographic need, quality of institution and utilization needs.
